As we said, just for interest's sake, we put together some comparison pictures to show the graphical upgrades between PSP 2nd and F 2nd.
These aren't exact- it's hard to get specific poses, but they're taken at roughly the same time in the song.
If there's any specific notes about how the PV's changed, they're noted below each pair of shots.
It's in order of 1st > 2nd > extend > DLC. Yes, there's DLC too. Some of it, anyway.
The PSP shots from extend were very kindly provided by Ultra Powerful Pal of Gaming Hell, Liam Ashcroft.
The World is Mine
(The entire interior has been redesigned, and a lot of camera angles are different/more zoomed in or out- this is the closest we can make it)
Packaged
Miracle Paint
(The dance routine is different- it now involves a staff- but the stage remains the same)
Romeo & Cinderella
(The fences in the background are now covered in roses and rose petals constantly drift across the stage)
Kokoro / Heart
(Monitors in the background show your chosen character)
Clover♣Club
Rushin Yukai / Meltdown
Colorful x Melody
Double Lariat
The Intense Voice of Hatsune Miku
SPiCa ~39's Giving Day Edition~
A Thousand Year Solo (DIVA edit)
Wintry Winds
(This PV now takes place at night as opposed to the daytime version from extend)
Close and Open, Demons and the Dead
(The normal moon has been replaced with a larger, blood-red one)
Luka Luka★Night Fever
(The lighting is a lot more dynamic in the F 2nd version)
Paradichlorobenzene
Two-Sided Lovers
(There is now a slight cel-shaded visual effect on modules used in this PV)
Ai Kotoba
Rolling Girl
Change me
(The lighting is now far more dynamic, especially at the start of the song)
Just be friends
We have decided, however, to stop here with the DLC songs. This is because we literally cannot afford it.
The importance of this page versus the actual cost of getting all these songs doesn't balance out enough to warrant it. Sorry!
The missing DLC songs are...
Sekiranun Graffiti (extend),
Look This Way Baby (2nd),
Yellow (2nd),
End of Solitude (extend),
To Beyond a Duodecillion (extend),
magnet (2nd),
Promise (2nd),
Marginal (1) and
When the First Love Ends (1).
Here's a few extra notes for you- in every case, the original ending of the song is shown when you fail at the song's Chance Time (or hit the Chance Time star with both fingers/sticks) with new endings appearing if you succeed (notably, Clover♣Club shows the ingredients of its namesake's cocktail, and The World is Mine recreates redjuice's famous art for the song). Also, the shots from F 2nd were taken from the Vita version, which only seems fair as both are portable consoles.
With thanks again to Liam Ashcroft, we now have shots from all the songs that appeared in extend (as well as A Thousand Year Solo (DIVA edit) which was erroneously listed as being from the first game- it was DLC, but this specific version first properly appeared in extend) so now there's only three songs missing from the list. All three of them originally appeared in the first game (Sakura Rain, I'll Miku-Miku You♪ (For Reals)/Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru♪ and Melt) and they're not here as the PVs were completely remade for F 2nd.
Back to where you were now, kid!
