Upon entering the room, we meet Mr. Hook again. The crates contain two Anatomically Correct Human Hearts, an Auto and a Shotgun upgrade. What's he got to say for himself?

"The party is over, pal."
I'm gonna call this guy Pal from now on. It's his favourite saying... Well, aside from calling human beings 'silly'.

You were going to offer it to us? Uh, doesn't that go against the whole 'ruling the world' thing? I don't think Pal's thought this through...

"You must disappear, pal!
You must die!!"
What is it with people trying to kill poor Edward today?! He hasn't done anything yet!

HOLY SHIT HE'S GOT A GUN!

I'm not entirely sure why I find this bit so hilarious- I think it's the sheer audacity of Pal just pulling out a gun and pumping Edward full of lead- but this mini-fight can actually be tough if you're not ready for it. Pal fires his gun so fast that, if you're not expecting it, he can kill you in seconds. The only way to stop him firing is to return the favour and shoot him as fast as possible. To explain just how fast he shoots, if you use the Auto upgrade and just hold the trigger and reload when appropriate, Pal will get a shot in. Yeah, he's that fast. Best to leave the Auto alone, and just shoot him as quickly as possible with the normal gun. As you shoot him, he'll start bleeding and in the end, his chest is covered in bullet holes. But it's not over yet.

He drinks a mysterious medicine, then puts his arms out, probably expecting a load of birds to fly in and perch on them.

"I'll show you something wonderful!
The entire world is mine!!"
Cue the traditional 'final boss transforming into a horrible monster' sequence, with the obligatory cringe-worthy laughter, no less!

And even better, this one has Inexplicable Explosion #7 which is, sadly, the last in the series.

My oh my, this one's an ugly brute. Is he going to rule the entire world looking like this?!

OK, so this is the final battle, Pal-Beast Vs. Edward Windsor, and Pal ain't playing fair. His two basic attacks are to spit phlegm at you in groups of four, and to pose dramatically seconds before he stabs you. Both of these are actually really easy to avoid- the phlegm shots are easy enough to shoot, and you can actually stop him from stabbing you pretty easily- but I suspect this is mostly due to the fact that he's an absolutely massive target, and shooting him anywhere counts as a hit.

When he's up close, his only other attack is to charge up some sort of electricity, but this one's another one that gives you plenty of time to stop. If it does hit you, though, it does a lot of damage, so don't get cocky!

When his health starts to go down, Pal-Beast flies further into the background, and the kid gloves are off- his attacks from the background are brutal, and will almost certainly cost you a couple of lives. His primary attack back here is to spew flames from his mouth, but this attack doesn't count as a projectile, as it can't be shot out of harm's way- it's a flamethrower! Unlike all the other attacks in the entire game, shooting Pal-Beast anywhere won't stop it- from what I've seen, the only way to stop the flamethrower is to shoot him in the head as much as you can. Even if you fill his mouth with enough bullets to put down a small elephant, you'll almost certainly take at least one hit here. If you don't do anything about it, he simply won't stop, eating through your life bar like it's not there. I'd say this is the cheapest attack in the game, but at least it can be stopped...
Incidentally, he'll sometimes come back into the foreground after using this attack a few times, and he'll use the same attacks as before.

Once his health is down, he'll retreat to the background for good, and start using two more attacks, which are pretty much the same thing. First, he'll fire four fireballs, one to each corner of the screen. If you're on your own, then it's difficult to shoot all four of them before they hit you, but you stand a chance if you're playing with a friend. When he's in his death-throes, he'll launch out four thunder attacks in exactly the same manner. Because they're a tiny bit slower, they're slightly easier to deal with... But only slightly.

Keep shooting him, and he'll eventually succumb and, as with every boss in the game, explode.
The ending is on the next page! Call the cops, it's SICK!
